We are committed to creating a world where we can thrive, be celebrated and have the freedom, support, and possibility to become who we want to be without judgment and barriers. 

We provide a safe space where you will feel supported and listened to. We offer a space for you to create and work, mentorships and tools for integration into society, and education to help our community members to flourish and rise. Aconchego House's aspiration is to be a shoulder to lean on, to treat each other as equals, and make all feel respected, accepted and loved no matter who they are or wish to be.

Respect is fundamental. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards transphobia, homophobia, racism, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, and all other forms of discrimination. 

Empowerment and Education

We believe everything is possible and that access to education is the key to personal and social growth. We aim to empower those who have been pushed aside and shut down, by offering mentorship programs, financial support and educational opportunities. We provide tools and resources necessary for you to build your confidence and independence, to thrive in your lives.

Support and Counseling

Aconchego House is a refuge, a safe space where you will be cared for, heard and welcomed. We offer emotional support and psychological counseling, creating a physical and emotional environment where you can feel secure, valued, and understood. Mental health is a pillar on which our community is built with mutual respect, trust, and solidarity.

Community and Connection

We believe in the power of community and the importance of human connection. It's within the community that we all find support. Aconchego House promotes relationships and a community that supports one another, shares experiences, and grows together. We stand together and for each other. We are stronger together, a family united by our commitment to lifting each other up and making a change.

Aconchego House is a refuge for those who face discrimination or violence, offering solace, comfort, and a secure and welcoming physical space where you can escape prejudice and hostility.

Mentorship Programs

Mentorship is one of our most fundamental pillars. Inspiring LGBTQIA+ mentors from around the world will offer guidance, support, and inspiration. Through these relationships, you will gain confidence, navigate life’s challenges more easily, set goals, and realize your dreams.

Educational Opportunities

Education is power. We offer a wide range of educational programs, workshops and resources necessary to succeed in society and give you the confidence needed to achieve your goals.

Financial Support

Finances are often a barrier to many dreams and feeling the freedom to become who we are. Aconchego House provides financial assistance to those in need and can help you overcome economic obstacles, by giving access to the resources necessary for personal and professional development.

Building Connections

We wish to ease the sense of loneliness that can be pervasive throughout the LGBTQIA+ community, and to allow everyone to come out and be their beautiful selves. Through events, workshops, and social gatherings, our community will grow as a family who support and love each other. No one should ever feel alone. 

Advocating for Change

We actively work towards social justice by raising awareness, challenging discriminatory practices, advocating for policies that promote equality and inclusion, and donating funds to other LGBTQIA+ organizations, as voted on by community members.
