Guided Imagery & Music

In her first publication in 1973, “ Music and Your Mind”, Hellen Bonny included the subtitle, “listening with a new consciousness”. That subtitle describes what we will be doing in these mini workshops. We will combine various media of art with practices of deep relaxation to enable a more intimate connection with creativity; our own and that of the composers.

The sessions will involve guided meditation, journeys in music, visual art, and some writing. The atmosphere will be relaxed and playful. You are encouraged to bring a yoga mat for the musical journey part, though we have a few if you do not have one.

Robyn Chauvin, MA, LPC is a trainer at the Boulder Psychotherapy Institute (BPI). She is trained in Applied Existential Psychotherapy (AEP), Gestalt, Psychodrama, and the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery in Music. She is familiar with Jungian as well as AEP and Gestalt approaches to dreams. She has over 30 years experience in hospice, inpatient psychiatric work and private practice psychotherapy working with individuals, couples and groups. She teaches classes and supervises students at BPI.

This workshop is donaiton based. Please RSVP here!

Music Bingo!

It’s time to bring something new to the House.

It’s MUSIC BINGO time hosted by THE Lilly Akuma.

Dutch. International. Drag artist. @iamlillyakuma.

She doesn’t just perform the house down. She builds community, creates chaos in the best way, and makes you feel like you belong. And because she loves this House, she’s created a special Music Bingo night to raise funds for the House.

This is not just a bingo night. This is queer joy with a purpose.

So are you in?

Saturday 7th March from 19h–22h at Aconchego House. You better be in time gurlllll.

How you can help?

Buy your ticket now so we know you’re coming and we can make it BIG.

On the List (advance ticket): 3 EUR (includes first Bingo Card)
At the Door: 5 EUR (includes first Bingo Card)
Additional Bingo Cards: 5 EUR per card

Two rounds. More chances to win. More drama. More Bingo Cards are allowed.

All profits go to supporting Aconchego House and protecting queer safe spaces. So yes, you get an iconic night out and you directly support the community. That’s a win win. Oh! And you can win prizes. Win Win WIN!

“I promise you, I’ll bring a show you don’t want to miss.” ~ Lilly Akuma

What is Music Bingo?

It’s bingo. But make it queer. No boring numbers. No dusty bingo balls. Only bangers. You get your card. Lilly plays your favourite queer anthems. When you hear a song on your card, you cross it off. When you win, you scream like your ex just texted you back.

Simple. Camp. Addictive.

Bring your friends. Bring your situationship. Bring your colleague who “has never done anything like this before.” This is the night. If money is tight but you really want to join, please DM @iamlillyakuma on Instagram. We are an inclusive space. No one gets left behind.

Disclaimer:

Side effects of attending this Music Bingo may include uncontrollable laughter, dramatic singing along, sudden main character energy, and aggressively shouting “BINGO” like your life depends on it. You might experience spontaneous dancing, emotional reactions to nostalgic queer anthems, and the overwhelming urge to talk to a stranger.

Lilly Akuma is not responsible for sudden diva behaviour, discovering your inner pop princess, or thinking you can out serve her on the dance floor. Glitter may appear. Hips may move. Voices may crack on notes. It’s all part of the experience.

By entering the room, you agree to have fun, support queer joy, and possibly leave slightly more iconic than you arrived.

No refunds for having too much fun.

Seats may fill quickly, so arrive early, grab a drink, and get ready to play, cheer, and celebrate!
